Sunday 12/8

Went for breakfast than relaxed in room. Both calves and ankles were hurting me.

Went to Hofbrauhaus. Stopped to show size of Christmas tree in Marianplatz.

Meet couple from L.A. at Haufbrauhaus. Paula and Abe and 3.5 year old son Aiden. Abe was recovering from a stroke. We told them my story and Abe said I was a real inspiration.

Back in Marienplatz they had some real pagan shit going on. Not sure what this was about, but these guys in goat skins and scary face masks were banging on drums and bells.

Stopped at pastry shop because it's supposed to rain hard around 4pm. Then went back to hotel.

Stayed in this evening.

Late postings

I'm having difficulty uploading my photos to Google Photo which is why I haven't put up any posts. I took a few videos that I think have gummed up the works.

I might have to wait until we get to our next destination Monday to start uploading.

Saturday 12/7

Had breakfast in hotel. Selection was good. Urination was much better today and I finally had #2.

Walked to the Munich Residence that was just around the corner from Marienlatz. Decided to take the short tour since my left leg and ankle were killing me. Very decorative and ornate rooms.

Went out at about 1pm after a little nap and some pain pills. Stopped at Dami Asian Restaurant and Bar which was on the same street as they hotel. They didn’t have a plethora of chicken dishes but they did have a sweet and sour chicken.

After we walked the market again. Mom bought a little cuckoo clock magnet for the RV. Then back to the hotel for another nap.

At 7pm we went out to eat. The first place we tried was an Italian place but all they were serving was drinks, no food. We went back to the Galleria, but they also closed at 7pm. So we stopped at a three story Five Guys and got a burger.

Friday 12/6

We woke up late and missed breakfast. Our hotel only has breakfast, no other meals. We went out in search of something to eat. We found a place on the 5th floor of a department store called the Restaurant Galleria. We missed breakfast their too but they had plenty of selections.

From there we found an apothecary in to find something for the bladder infections. They had some type of herbal meds. The next stop was a grocery store for some cranberry juice to change the acidity in my bladder to fight the infection. Grocery stores can be very hard to find. They hide them well. This one called Edeka was through a non-descript door then up an escalator. Later that evening I was already showing improvement in killing the bacteria.

We went out in search of someplace to eat. We found the Augustiner Stammhaus Bierhalle. The menu was all in German, but when asked the waiter produced one in English. I ordered a pork dish and mom had chicken. When I asked what they had to drink he said Beer! I’m sure I committed a cultural faux pas since we were in a beer hall. Two guys at the same table spoke very good German but when the subejct of ‘where you from’ they said they were Ukrainian to which I replied Slava Ukraine (Glory to Ukraine)! I told them I keep up with war almost daily. I didn’t ask why they weren’t back home fighting for their country. The fact they spoke German so well probably meant they’ve been here a while. Was stopped at another apothecary and got some Ducolax for the other problem. I only took one because I didn’t want there to be a blowout.

When we got back to the hotel I turned on the TV only to find that every station was German. Now who is most likely yo be in a hotel,a German or someone from another country? Even Oslo, Norway had the BBC.

Thursday 12/5

We arrived in Frankfurt and and went to the long distance train station. The first stop was Frankfurt Hbf. As we are approaching the conductor is doing a lot of talking in German. A nice woman in front of us said that the train is broken and we will have to get off at the stop and that he didn’t know when the next train to Munich was. As we wer all making our way slowly off the train he came back on and the lady said he was wrong, the train is fine and we can stay on. I don’t know if anyone left the train and didn’t hear the second announcement. That would have sucked.

Half way to Munich I almost had a panic attack when I got an email saying we were a no show. What I screwed up was I forgot that the first day is traveling and you don’t arrive until the second day. I quickly called them up and was able to rebook the room before someone else took it. Crisis averted.

Got to the hotel at 5pm. Shortly after we went for a walk towards Marianplatz. We hadn’t ate since breakfast on the plane. We ended up getting this strange potato chip on a stick. It was like one continuous spiraling potato chip.

New problem. Sorry for brining this up, but I write it down so I can remember what happened when. I knew I already had constipation since Tuesday, but now I had not urinated for a few days and it worried mom that I had a bladder infection. That worry was justified when I got up every hour to go to the bathroom and only got drips, and had pain in my bladder region every time I rolled out of bed. I even strained a muscle in my neck when straining to pee. I can’t catch a break!
