Friday afternoon

We stopped back at our favorite cafe by the Colosseum where our waiter pointed us in the direction of San Pietro in Vincoli, better known as the Peter-in-Chains Church. This is where the chains that supposedly held St. Peter are kept.

Another important statue is housed in this church. It is "Moses" by Michelangelo.

After the forum we decided to go back to the Capitoline Museum. We only saw half of the museum last time and our 3-day Rome Pass expires tonight.

These stones that the museum was built around...

depicted here with people to show the scale...

was supposed to be this massive structure at one time. Truly amazing.

After the museum, the sun had set and I was able to take some evening pictures of the Vincent Emmanuel Monument.

And the forum

From the it was back to the train station for a quick snack and then to the hotel to rest our feet.
